Point your domain to your hosting

Once you have ordered a domain name, you must ensure that it points to your hosting, so that your site can be displayed. There are 4 situations:

  • You have ordered hosting and a domain name:

Everything is then automatically configured. You simply have to wait during DNS propagation, which is the updating of DNS servers around the world. Normally, DNS propagation takes place within a few hours but can take up to 24 hours.

  • You have ordered accommodation alone:

You must point the DNS servers of your domain name to our servers. To do this, go to the customer area of your domain name provider and in the DNS management section point the DNS to our servers:

  1. ns1.tnctech.ca
  2. ns2.tnctech.ca
  • You have ordered a domain name alone:

You can manage all aspects of your domain (DNS, owner, transfer, etc.) from your  TNC TECH customer area , then “Services”, then “My domains” then once the domain in question has been selected, in the panel on the left “Management ”. In order for your domain name to work, it will be necessary to point it to a host's DNS servers. If you don't have a hosting plan or forgot to order hosting with your domain name, you can order hosting from TNC TECH alone and then point your domain to it.

  • You would like to add a new domain name to your existing TNC TECH hosting:

Depending on your offer, you can add additional domains, each of which will display a different site. You must first point your domain to our servers (done automatically if it was ordered from TNC TECH): For .com, .net and other extensions, please follow the second point (you have ordered hosting alone) . For the .fr, please refer to the article “Add a .fr as an additional domain”. Once your domain is pointed out, go to your cPanel and add the domain in the “Additional domain” section.
